Project description-To create 6 pieces that show the struggles between love and religion in our society today. Each will be no larger than 4 feet in length and width. The difference between this series and my previous one is that this series will capture the unknown and mythical, such as aliens and gods.
Objective: To recreate the inner emotions that one experiences day by day, yet how most are ignorant to the feelings of others. I also hope to develope my skill in mixed media, in particular blending acrylic paint with pastel.
Materials- Acrylic paint, sharpie, butcher paper

Project Proposal #3
12/10/10
Objective: To create 4 pieces that depict my heritage and background. Each will be no smaller than 3 feet in length, no larger than 7.
Materials: Butcher paper, canvas, sharpie marker, acrylic paint.
While making this series, i hope to reflect on what i have learned thus far in the year and how my art skills have enhanced. I also hope to reflect on my past and incorporate that to make an interesting series. I suppose my main goal is to see how much i have grown, not just in life but in art. I want to see how i have changed both with my work ethic and my work style.
Project Proposal #2
11/3/10
Objective: To create 4 illustrations that tell the story of different figures in my life.
Materials: Butcher paper, sharpie marker and acrylic paint.
While making this series, i hope to enhance my skill in painting figures along with scenes to tell a story behind each piece. In my past work, i focused on one or two characters for each piece without a background. I plan on changing my approach and hope to capture the full tale behind the characters. Each piece will exceed 5 feet in length.

#2-Large scale coil pots-2/1-end of year
Objective- Create as many coil pots as possible by the years end. Each pot will exceed 10 inches but be no taller than 24 inches.
Materials-Clay, trimming wheel
For the rest of the year i will create large scale coil pots. In order to increase productivety, i will work on each pot day by day and maintain a flow of pottery. Every 2 weeks I will have one pot completed as far as making the structure. Afterwards i will put glaze/underglaze on to fit the pots design and shape. Each pot will have its own unique style to it. By the end of the year i hope to have atleast 13 large coil pots completed, if not more. If this goal is completed before the end of the semester, i will switch to a different game plan.
#1. Large coil pot-1/27/10
For my first piece I will create a 2 foot tall pot. The pot will be constructed of slabs roughly three fourths of an inch to an inch thick. The slabs will continuously rise up into wider sections. I will achieve this by building up the pot each day and letting it dry so that it is strong enough to hold the next section. After the pot reaches a certain size i will begin to make the sections come inward so to make it have a cacoon look to it. I will smooth out the top edges and smooth down the sides of the pot. After the sides are smoothed down I will begin to put designs on the pot using a carving tool. I will pre-draw these pictures before the pot is completed so that i know ahead of time what i want to put on it. After the drawings are put onto the piece i will let the pot sit out for a few days and fire it up. The only problem i can see happening is air bubbles getting trapt into the clay and possibly exploding the pot in the fire. I believe this can be avoided by making sure the sections are solid and drying them out properly.
